What to Expect
Unfortunately, going to a church for the first time can be a little bit uncomfortable. After all, you are wondering things like, “What should I wear? Will I be over/underdressed? Will I feel out of place? Will the Pastor ask me to stand up and introduce myself? R-I-G-H-T???
When you come to be our guest at The House of Restoration, hopefully the items listed below will help create an atmosphere of anticipation even before you get here, instead of, well, you know…
At The House of Restoration:
- You will receive a genuine smile and welcome.
- Our focus is not how YOU look, but rather on EXALTING JESUS CHRIST!!! You will fit right in wearing a suit and tie, a nice pair of Dockers, or your blue jeans and tennis shoes. (Really, just come, and you will see for yourself!)
- The sincere love that our church family has will help you feel right at home!
- You will find that things are done decently and in order. However, we do flow with and are led by the Holy Spirit. (As the song writer said; “Freedom reigns in this place!!!”)
- You will experience soul-feeding and anointed praise and worship.
- The Word of God is passionately taught/preached by our Pastor! By the way, he will not ask you to stand and introduce yourself!!!
- You will find a place filled with the Spirit of God and with loving people willing to accept you just the way you are, but believing that you will leave different than the way you came in!
Kid’s House
At the Kids’ House, we look forward to the opportunity to share the greatest news ever presented in the history of the world to your children; “JESUS LOVES YOU and wants to spend an ETERNITY with YOU!!!” We realize that training up a child in the way he should go is the responsibility of the parent(s), but we are so thankful that we get to partner with you in this endeavor. Your children are precious to you, precious to us, and even more precious to God. That is why we take pride in teaching your children on their own level.
Although biblical teaching is our first priority, we also realize that all kids like to have fun. Your kids will love The Kids’ House!
In addition to providing your children with a safe, clean, fun environment, we also want you as parents to know that every teacher and helper that serves in The Kids’ House must go through a very thorough national background check before they are ever allowed to work in the Children’s Ministry.
Our classes are separated by age, to insure that each child is given the opportunity to interact and learn with other children on their level. Listed below are the age groupings for our children:
Sunday Mornings
- Birth – 4 years old
- Kindergarten – 2nd grade
- 3rd – 6th grade
Wednesday Nights
- Birth – 4 years old
Each room has one teacher and a helper, and at least one of the two is CPR Certified. We look forward to seeing you and your AMAZING children very soon!!!!
We have chosen KidCheck for the security and safety of your children. Click the documents below for more information.
YOUTH
We live in a REAL world, where REAL issues exist!!! Like it or not, our youth are being exposed to those “REAL issues” everyday. What decisions will they make? Will they give in to the overwhelming amount of peer pressure? Are they equipped and prepared to make the right decisions?
At the House of Restoration prayer is ALWAYS in order and should be the first thing that we do, but it is also important that we talk about these ”REAL issues”. Our youth program is designed to create an atmosphere where young people can do just that: talk about them. As parents, our goal is to develop the kind of relationship with our children where they feel comfortable enough to talk to us about ANYTHING, but the reality is that most teens feel more at ease talking to their peers about certain subjects. Obviously, allowing teenagers to be in a room to discuss crucial topics among themselves is not the answer, so our youth minister is there to engage the topic, to encourage them to TALK ABOUT IT, to answer questions, and to equip them with biblical principles on how to handle these REAL issues they all face!
Our Youth meet every Wednesday night at 6:30
(7th-12th grade)
